Usage

(i) It tells you what is going on at the moment

Que fais-tu?  
What are you doing?

Les enfants jouent dans le jardin
The children are playing in the garden.

Actuellement, mon fils étudie les maths  
At the moment, my son is studying maths.

(ii) It tells you what people habitually do, or what is generally true

Les jeunes sortent beaucoup le samedi soir
Young people go out a lot on Saturday evenings

Les Américains jouent au baseball.
Americans play baseball

Ça ne se fait pas ici.
That is not done here

Ça arrive toujours à la fin de la classe.
That always happens at the end of the class.
